Mantiz Saturn Pro II MZ-03 (2019)

The Mantiz Saturn Pro II is a Thunderbolt 3 eGPU enclosure that pairs 550W GPU headroom with 100W of host charging over a single upstream TB3 cable. A secondary TB3 controller drives its integrated dock — five USB-A 3.2 Gen 1 ports, Gigabit Ethernet, and an SD card reader — so one cable carries graphics and peripherals. The internal 750W Gold PSU is standard for that era's eGPU class. Host machines need a TB3-capable port with external GPU support; USB4-only Windows laptops may work but official compatibility is Intel-TB3 certified.

Razer Core X V2 (2025)

The Razer Core X V2 is Razer's first Thunderbolt 5 external graphics enclosure, designed for 4-slot-wide NVIDIA or AMD desktop graphics cards over a single 80 Gbps TB5 connection. Unlike the original Core X series, the V2 ships without an included power supply and without an integrated USB/Ethernet hub — users install a standard ATX PSU in the bottom bay, and any additional dock I/O must come from a separate Thunderbolt 5 dock daisy-chained through the host. The upstream TB5 port delivers 140W of Power Delivery back to a compatible Thunderbolt 4/5 or USB4 host, making it suitable for gaming laptops and USB4 handhelds.

Sonnet Breakaway Box 750ex eGPU (2021)

The Sonnet eGPU Breakaway Box 750ex is a single-slot Thunderbolt 3 eGPU enclosure with a 750W internal PSU, sized for full-length double-width PCIe 3.0 x16 graphics cards drawing up to 375W continuous (plus 100W peak). A dual-controller Thunderbolt 3 design means the single host-facing TB3 port carries both GPU traffic and a built-in hub, exposing four 5 Gb/s USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A ports and a Gigabit Ethernet RJ-45. The upstream TB3 connection delivers 85W of power back to the host laptop, enough to keep most 13-15" notebooks topped up while docked.

Sonnet Breakaway Box 850 T5 eGPU (2025)

The Sonnet Breakaway Box 850 T5 is Sonnet's first Thunderbolt 5 eGPU enclosure, sized for triple-wide 13.5" graphics cards drawing up to 600W from its internal 850W universal PSU. The 80 Gbps upstream Thunderbolt 5 connection delivers 100W of Power Delivery back to a compatible Windows 11 host, while an integrated Thunderbolt dock adds a second TB5 port for 15W PD daisy-chaining, three 10 Gb/s USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A ports (each providing 7.5W for USB NVMe SSDs), and a Realtek 5GbE RJ-45 for multi-gig wired networking. Mains power arrives via an IEC C14 inlet.
